My artistic practice is fueled by a desire to evoke joy in those who encounter my work. The complexity of the natural world inspires me to use texture and colour as a vibrant language through which I playfully express my fascination with its infinite wonders. Working with ceramic materials is a connection to the very essence of our planet. I find myself drawn to the unconventional and messy aspects of creation as a means to discover the boundless potential in the periodic table. My practice encompasses an exploration of fibre arts, ceramics, and chemistry; both separately and in combination. Exploring the intersection of these practices, my work combines ancient traditions and modern technologies, taking inspiration from nature and natural phenomena to kindle joy and encourage play in others.
